ABOUT OUR TEAM
Our History
In 1942, William Reck Sr. established Precision Tool Company to serve the growing demand for custom carbide-tipped cutting tools. World War II dramatically increased the need for specialized carbide tooling, and the resulting boom in manufacturing facilitated the construction of a 1,500 square foot building to house the then-flourishing business. Through the following post-war depression years, PTC built a reputation for exceptional quality, service and value.
Today, we continue - and expand upon - that tradition with our increased capabilities to serve aerospace, automotive, trucking, die-cast, furniture, and spring forming manufacturers. Precision Tool Company expanded into our current 20,000 square foot facility in Muskegon, Michigan to accommodate the increased services we provide for our loyal customers. We continue to look towards the future, amassing multiple automation units that enable us to provide the fastest service, shortest lead times, and highest quality in the industry.

Our Facility & Equipment
Our facility has expanded alongside the growth of our business into the current 20,000 sq. ft. building in Muskegon, MI. We have a full-service shop area with CNC machines such as state-of-the-art Walter 5-axis cutter grinders, Tru-Tech Revolution centerless grinders, mills, and lathes. We also have a full array of conventional equipment including surface grinders, drill point grinders, O.D. and centerless grinders. Additionally we possess honing, welding and brazing equipment.
Our state of the art design department capable of original tool development and problem solving. We work with AutoCAD DXF formats utilizing PC based AutoCAD LT platforms and as well as on-machine advanced Walter Cybergrind and Tool Studio software that interfaces with our CNC cutter grinders.

We use the latest software for duplicating original tool cutting geometry, and for over 75 years we have been consistently raising the bar and setting new standards for our industry.
