Our History

In 1942, William Reck Sr. established Precision Tool Company to serve the growing demand for custom carbide-tipped cutting tools.  World War II dramatically increased the need for specialized carbide tooling, and the resulting boom in manufacturing facilitated the construction of a 1,500 square foot building to house the then-flourishing business. Through the following post-war depression years, PTC built a reputation for exceptional quality, service and value.

Today, we continue – and expand upon – that tradition with our increased capabilities to serve aerospace, automotive, trucking, die-cast, furniture, and spring forming manufacturers. Precision Tool Company expanded into our current 20,000 square foot facility in Muskegon, Michigan to accommodate the increased services we provide for our loyal customers. We continue to look towards the future, amassing multiple automation units that enable us to provide the fastest service, shortest lead times, and highest quality in the industry.
